After Christmas Beginnings

I read the comics today, and Baby Blues captured my feelings about life. The wife says to the husband, "I used to dream of travelling the world....now I just dream of having the kitchen clean for five minutes." This describes my mental state well. It's not a bad dream either.

I decided to start a blog mostly because I wanted to post my knitting pictures. Knitting is my current passion...probably because it is something I can finish! Also, I can enjoy it while sitting and not feeling very great.

I am currently 5 months pregnant with my 4th child (It's a boy), I'm having gall bladder problems (for which I'm on a low-fat diet), and I have ringing in my ears. I generally feel lousy.




Here are some pictures of the scarves I made for Christmas presents. The moebius cowls are made of cashmere (yum!). The red is HandMaiden in berry, and the lavender is an amazing Mountain Colors fine cashmere in Lady Slipper. I felt priveleged to feel the yarn slide through my fingers. Valerie told me about the moebius scarf, as seen on DIY network, and I was hooked. I don't think I could have figured out the cast-on without actually watching Cat Bordhi do it, but it's simple once you've got it!
